Happy 30th Birthday Karl!

We celebrated Karl's birthday this past weekend. It was so nice to have all our family come in town and celebrate and even better it was a surprise! It was tough keeping it a surprise but we did it! Enjoy the pictures!

We are so blessed to have such good friends to celebrate life with. It was nice to join "old friends" with "new friends" and have fun!

Sarah loves being with Yia Yia!

Strawberry Festival 2009

This past weekend we went to Plant City for the Strawberry Festival. We have never been. It was a lot of fun. Karl's parents joined us for the 2 hour drive south. A fun time was had by all.

Sarah loves riding the carousel. This time around she did not want to ride on a horse, but she wanted to ride in the carriage. Riding 2 times and $8.00 we had a blast. Here are a few pictures!
At the festival they also had on display the tractors that plow the rows to plant the strawberries. We could not sit on those, but they did have little tractors to sit on and take pictures.

The christian radio station "The Joy FM" was there also for the Third Day concert that night. Bill & Carmen from the morning cruise was there. My favorite and Karl's mom favorite is Carmen. She was so sweet to talk with and get a picture with her.

Global Impact Celebration

Each year our church-The Family Church has a conference for all of the missions our church supports-locally and also around the world. It is a great weekend for our church.
We had a Village Day, in where all of our family groups took a region and decorated a room and had missionaries from that region come and be the special guests. For our family group we had Haiti. We had lots of fun decorating a Sunday school room and turning it into a "little piece of Haiti." Below are a few pictures of the weekend.
This year we had a special treat. A good friend of ours that used to live in Gainesville was in town this weekend- Christen Buman. She and her husband were a part of our Family Group before Sarah was born. We miss them so very much.
Also to add to the decorations for our room we had live chickens. Sarah was fascinated by them. Sarah loved going up to the cage and just staring at them.
Here is a cute picture of Sarah and her buddy Evie.

Sweet Valentine's

On Valentine's Day weekend we went to Jacksonville to see Jenny's parents. We played with our cousins Ethan & Parker, went shopping, spent lots of time with Yia Yia & Papa, went to church, and had lunch at San Jose Country Club. Just wanted to share a few pictures of the weekend.
Sarah loves playing with her cousins Ethan & Parker. Sarah & Parker are buddies. They do everything together. We try and come back to Jacksonville as much as we can for them to play and be together.

Valentine's Day night Yia Yia & Papa baby-sat and let Karl & I go out to dinner. These are some pictures of Sarah playing trains. Sarah growing up with boy cousins, she has learned to love trains. Yia Yia has a array of trains and tracks to play with. Yia Yia uses her formal dining room table as the train table the majority of the time.

Christmas Morning

On Christmas morning I woke up very sick with a 103 fever, but wanted to see Sarah open her presents. We have a few pictures but not many. Sarah opened her presents from Santa, then went over to Babi & Papa's for Christmas lunch. I really don't remember very much from this day except for Sarah had a blast playing with her car that Santa brought her.

Birthday Cake For Jesus

A tradition we have in our house is to make a Birthday cake for Jesus on Christmas Eve. Sarah had a blast decorating, and eating the chocolate icing.

The finished product:

Walt Disney World

The week of Christmas we took Sarah to Disney World for a early birthday present. She had a blast. She loved riding Dumbo, the carousel, It's a small world, and the Winnie the Pooh ride.

We had fun visting Minnie's House!

Riding the carousel with Daddy! We must have rode this ride at least 3 times.

The highlight of our day was we had reservations at the Crystal Palace for lunch. This is character dining with all the Winnie the Pooh characters. Sarah loved this! The food was amazing!

We had a wonderful time at Walt Disney World. Before we knew it, it was time to get home and celebrate Christmas.
