Thanksgiving 2009

The Ross House hosted Thanksgiving this year! We were surrounded by lots of family but still some were missing...we missed Kenneth & Hannah, & the kids, Rebekah & Nathan, and Grammy & Pop. I loved having a house full....and shared the cooking responsibility. Karl got up at 2 am and starting smoking the turkey, it was well worth the time & effort. It was so nice to spend it with both sides of the family. We had a great day...and ended with making turkey cookies with Babi & Aunt Katie.

Karl's parents stayed the weekend, so we could spend some more time together. Jenny & Babi went to Christmas Made in the South, while Karl, Dad, & Sarah spent time together. Before we knew it it was time for them to go home. We enjoyed them coming. The rest of the weekend was filled with getting Christmas pictures taken & Christmas shopping.

I am so thankful for my wonderful family....I love you!

Susan's Wedding

Last weekend we went to Bowling Green, Fl to attend cousin Susan's wedding. We had a blast. We had a chance to visit with Grandpa Zajicek and also see family we have not seen for a while. Uncle Frank came in from Columbia, Uncle Jimmy came from Missouri, and Aunt Betty & Cousin Sarah were there from Lakeland. Here are a few pics from the wedding. Sarah had a blast on the dance floor.

Visits to Gainesville

The past few weeks we have made several trips back to Gainesville. We have loved catching up with our old friends and enjoying some time together. A few weeks ago we had lunch with some of our old family group friends after church. Sarah especially enjoyed seeing her BFF Evie Sutton.
We also came back for Homecoming weekend. We met up with my best friend Steph & her husband and their daughter Hayley for the parade. Steph's parents & her sister Samantha, Stephen, and their son Parker joined us also for the parade. We had a blast...it was very hot but enjoyed spending time with them.
Jenny & Steph

We have really enjoyed being in Jacksonville. It has allowed us to be close to my family and be there for my mom when she needed us! She is doing great! We had a bit of a scare about a month ago that her cancer had spread to her brain....but God answered our prayers and her scan was clear! PRAISE GOD!!!!! Her cancer markers have actually gone down now about 100 points! She is doing great, and enjoying being with her grandchildren. With us being in Jax, it allows Sarah to spend a lot more time with her cousins Ethan & Parker. The other day she went to Yia Yia's and decorated pumpkins with Ethan & Parker. They had a blast. Sarah & Parker are buddies. They are so much alike it is funny. Here are a few pics of them...

Last but not least....I'm not sure if you heard or not but Jenny has a new job! This new job has been a blessing. I work 5 minutes away from where we live and started last week. All the people I work with are wonderful. This past weekend they had a fall festival and below are a few pictures. Ethan & Parker met up with us along with their friends Myles & Avery for some fun.

Sarah loves animals so it was a HUGE treat for her to be able to ride on the horses! She loved every minute of it! I hope you enjoyed the pics, we miss our friends in Gainesville but know that God has us here in Jax for a reason! Please come & visit we have plenty of room!

Planes & More

This past weekend it was family day for all active & retired military family of the Air Guard. So....Lt. Col Papa Jones took Sarah, Ethan & Parker to see the planes with the help of Karl. The girls (Mom, Katie, and Jenny) decided to go shopping in St. Simons Island at Bailey Boys. The kids did really well. I was so proud of my dad. By the end of the day, the kids enjoyed the bounce house and snocones better than the planes. Karl was more impressed with the planes. Here are a few pictures of their fun day.
Papa & Sarah
Karl enjoyed getting into some of the planes & looking at all the gadgets & buttons in the cockpit. Karl enjoyed it more than the kids.

A fun day was had by all. I think it will be a while before the "guys" watch the kids again....but I think everyone had a wonderful day. We are looking forward to seeing our "Gainesville friends" soon. We will be home for homecoming in a few weeks.

It's been a long time!

Hello everybody! Sorry it's been so long. We have been super busy over the past few months. For those who don't know we moved to Jacksonville, Fl. We love being close to Jenny's family.

Karl got a job as a website designer for Advantage Designs, and Jenny starts work on Monday at Harbor Chase an Assisted Living Facility as their Recreational Therapist.

God has been so good, and paved the way for us and is continuing to work in ways not seen.

Sarah is enjoying her new school-The Learning Tree. She has made new friends especially one little girl Emily. They have become best buddies!

Pray that our house sells in Gainesville soon! We would love to have visitors here in Jacksonville. We have plenty of room!

We will post pictures as soon as I unpack more boxes. Love you all!

Mike's Graduation

Karl's brother Mike graduated from University of Florida a few weeks ago. We had family in town for the big event. We are so proud of Mike and what he has accompished! Here are a few pics from the weekend. Below is the family pic for the weekend. Turned out really nice!

We took some pictures on the football field also. Sarah loves being with cousin Esther. Luke would not come and be in the picture. He is way in the background. Oh well, better luck next time.

Springtime

Sorry it's been too long since I last posted. We have been busy with everyday life raising a 3 year old. We spent Easter in Jacksonville, went to a Gator baseball game, Karl's brother Mike graduated from University of Florida, and had lots of family visit. Here are just a few pictures to catch up from the past few months.

Sarah is growing up so fast. She is a joy to be around. She loves to be around others, and spend time with her friends. These are some pictures we took when we went to the Gator Baseball game. She loves her friends Evie & Harrison. Sarah loves going to the Gator games, and wearing her gator clothes!

We spent Easter in Jacksonville this year. Here is a family picture on Easter Sunday morning.

Sarah loved her Easter dress. She loves to wear dresses now. When I ask her what she wants to wear, she says a dress. A lot of times, it will be a smocked dress. Thanks Grammy for my wonderful dress!

After lunch on Easter the kids played with their Easter trains and had a Easter Egg Hunt.

We celebrated Karl's birthday this past weekend. It was so nice to have all our family come in town and celebrate and even better it was a surprise! It was tough keeping it a surprise but we did it! Enjoy the pictures!

We are so blessed to have such good friends to celebrate life with. It was nice to join "old friends" with "new friends" and have fun!

Sarah loves being with Yia Yia!
